Lazimnya, apabila diambil gambar foto lanskap, jurugambar akan ambil gambar dalam format lanskap, iaitu secara melintang. Ini mungkin kerana bentuk kamera yang sememangnya dalam format lanskap, atau minda telah disetkan. kalau ambil gambar lanskap, format gambar lanskaplah. Tidak semestinya begitu. Kadang-kadang gambar foto lanskap cantik juga kalau diambil dalam format potret.
